  Greetings from Secretary

Dear Friend,

Welcome to the webpage of the India Pentecostal Church.

And welcome to the India Pentecostal Church family.

IPC began with one faithful person, the late Pastor K.E. Abraham, its founder and chief architect.  Today, it has grown to include many.  It includes many languages.  It includes people from every state of India.  It includes urban dwellers and villagers.  You will find members of the IPC family in high rises and slums.  They come from the poor, rich and middle classes.

The IPC family is represented in scores of ethnic groups and cultures. There are seventeen state councils and seven mission centers and eleven regions outside of India under the IPC Executives and General Council.

Whatever our diverse backgrounds and scattered locations, we are all unified by one passion—to worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Whatever our backgrounds we seek to become empowered by His Holy Spirit and a desire to include even more people in our greater family.

Our IPC family numbers in the hundreds of thousands.  That sounds large until we recognize that we live in a nation of 1.2 billion people.  Multitudes of peoples in India are still ignorant of the gospel that has transformed our own lives.

As members of the IPC family, we have a responsibility toward each other and toward those who walk in ignorance of the Good News.  I urge you to become passionate about loving Jesus and showing His compassion to people.  I urge you to become increasingly wise and responsible in sharing your resources and using your talents to humbly serve our Lord who have given His all on our behalf.

God has enabled each of us to enter a new year—2010.  In the Bible, number 10 is the number for responsible witness.  God gave us 10 commandments.  Abraham prayed for 10 people to be delivered from judgment in Sodom and Gomorrah.  Zechariah prophesies that one day, ten men from diverse nations will grasp the arm of one Jew and say “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.” (Zech. 8:23)

I invite you to become that person of influence.  I invite you to pray for 10 people that you know who need the saving power of the gospel.

India Pentecostal Church is committed to the authoritative Word of God and open to the work of the Holy Spirit.  IPC is committed to the local church, God’s instrument on earth for evangelism, discipleship and growth.  IPC is committed to responsible living and the sharing of our faith.

We are also committed to giving as a means to give God’s grace to others—tithing being the base and giving as God prospers.

We invite you to give as the Lord has prospered you and see God work through your gifts in ways that will bless you.

May our Lord Jesus Christ bless and keep you.

Blessings in Christ,

Pastor Dr. T. Valson Abraham

General Secretary, India Pentecostal Church
